Introduction to Blacksmithing with a Propane Gas Forge

Have you ever wanted to get into blacksmithing but found that a coal forge would not be an option for your situation? Participants in this class will learn the benefits and constraints of using a propane gas forge. From tips for selection, preparation and setup of a gas forge, the class will cover the safe lighting and proper fuel adjustment of gas and air for the effective and efficient heating of metal. Students will top off their experience making a fun project using propane gas forges provided by the California Blacksmithing Association (CBA).
