COLLECTION

Folsom History maintains a collection of artifacts, photos, documents, and more that relate directly to the history of Folsom and the surrounding region. Our collection ranges from microfiche, negatives, photos, documents, clothing, quilts, and artifacts.

DONATIONS

Would you like to donate objects or documents to be stored in Folsom History's collections & archives? Please email Tyler Tocci, Operations and Collections Director, at tyler@folsomhistory.org

 

Folsom History will not accept drop off items. All items must be reviewed and accepted by our Operations and Collections Director prior to being donated.

REQUEST FOR RESEARCH

Folsom History archives & research desk is open by appointment only at the Folsom History Museum. Fill out the "Submit a Request" form and email it to Tyler Tocci, Operations and Collections Director, at tyler@folsomhistory.org or mail it to 823 Sutter St.

 

Please schedule your appointment at least one week in advance, to allow the Operations and Collections Director enough time to prepare for your visit and to make your time spent here as advantageous as possible. In consultation with the Operations and Collections, the researcher must arrange in advance for specific research materials, including the time period covered by your subject. Any additional materials might require a second visit at another time.

 

A research request form must be completed prior to making an appointment. If this is for publication, governmental offices, businesses, or environmental groups please notate a contract shall be written for each party. 
 

Newspaper/Research Book fees: 

$0.25 per copy (B&W), $1 per color copy
$2.00 minimum for mailing material

 

Photograph fees:

$5.00 per digital copy for personal use

$30.00 per digital copy for publication with credit given a must.

 

Research fees:
Public research is $15 an hour after the first 30 minutes. For professional research, payment will be drafted accordingly.

Folsom History Member benefits include two free hours of research per year.
