About the event
Long before Folsom was Folsom, the Sacramento Region was a very different place, one that supported an astonishing abundance of wildlife and was home to Indigenous communities whose connection to this landscape has continued for thousands of years.
Join anthropologist Alex Coburn on a 100-million-year adventure through “California’s Serengeti,” exploring the people, animals, landscapes, and ancient stories that shaped the region long before modern cities existed.
Because before there was Folsom, before there was California, and before there was you, there was already a story unfolding here.
