About the event

From the Stone Age to the present, blacksmithing has been an innovative trade. Sit with blacksmith Mark Aspery to learn about the history of blacksmithing as part of our speaker series, Folsom Revealed. Examine the evolution of the industry throughout the centuries - what changes have been made, and what has remained the same.

Mark Aspery is a California Blacksmith Association instructor and author of three blacksmith technique books. The talk concludes with time for Q&A and discussion. The Folsom History Museum Store will have Mr. Aspery's pre-signed books (volumes one and two) for purchase, or guests may bring a personal copy for signing.

Light refreshments will be provided.
